our story
RINCON ROAD IS A BOUTIQUE INTERIOR DESIGN STUDIO + LIFESTYLE BRAND BASED IN SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, FOUNDED BY MELINDA TREMBLY, a California native and seasoned creative director. We specialize in full service interior design for clients who value timeless style, thoughtful storytelling, and homes that feel both beautiful and deeply personal.
We help busy professionals, families, and second-home owners transform their spaces into meaningful, functional sanctuaries - designed to reflect the life they've lived and the legacy they're building. Whether it's a coastal California retreat, a Montecito estate, or a heritage home that needs breathing room, we manage every detail from concept to completion.

HELLO AND WELCOME -
I'M MELINDA, THE FOUNDER OF RINCON ROAD DESIGN STUDIO and a lifelong Californian with a passion for authentic interiors, vintage treasures, and storytelling through design.
I grew up on my family's avocado ranch in the foothills of Santa Barbara County, where the values of hard work, tradition, and craftsmanship were woven into everyday life. Childhood road trips with my parents led me off the beaten path, collecting memories and meaningful finds from all corners of the country. At home, afternoons with my grandmother and her sisters - three strong Italian women shaped by the Great Depression - instilled in me a love of history, heirlooms, and home.
That same heart now guides our studio.
After earning my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from the Design Institute of San Diego, I returned to work with top architecture and design firms in Santa Barbara. In 2009, I launched Rincon Road - named after the road I grew up on - combining my experience, roots, and love for storytelling into a boutique studio that would offer clients more than just pretty rooms.
Today, I'm raising my children, animals, and avocado trees - grateful to share the traditions I grew up with, and to help clients create homes that hold their own stories
