Support Local Small Business – Ojai, Carpinteria, Montecito

December 3, 2020

It’s time to get out and support local small business this holiday season! December 2020, we are here, Lord knows how we made it, but we did. So, by now we are all knee deep in the holidays. Thanksgiving is behind us and Christmas is in full swing. Which means time to find those perfect gifts for our loved ones! So who needs a little help in this department? I know how easy it is to fall in to the convenience of Amazon and the big retailers, but now more than ever our little local shops need our support. And trust me, if you haven’t found your holiday spirit yet, after a visit to these local shops you may even find yourself singing along to those Christmas carols. As a result I’ve pulled together a few of my local go to’s for the holidays.

Tie up your locally found gifts with some pretty satin ribbon. I love colors that are slightly different from the tradition red and green.

Find Something for everyone on your list and support local small business.

For the crafter, for her, for the kids, for the vinyl lover…. ok so you can find pretty much something for everyone. Added bonus pick up your favorite hot beverage at Beacon and crank those holiday tunes for the the lovely drive. I highly recommend the knit-a-longs for that special knitter on your list. I did the August sweater with my mom, and we had a great time on Zoom gathering with fellow yarn junkies.

For the homesteader, for the outdoorsmen, for the animal lover, again something for the entire family! They carry a large range of heritage brands from Patagonia, Pendleton, Blundstone and many more. Plus local brands like Los Padres Outfitters gear. Which by the way, if you are looking to gift an experience your family wont forget, do yourself a favor and book a back country pack trip with Graham and his crew at Los Padres Outfitters. Heritage is a feel good store for the whole family, the old kind of general store that leaves a smile on your face. AND yes, another opportunity for some great local coffee next door from Lucky Llama!

Folly – Carpinteria
